Rec & Royal is a modern-day gaming parlour, karaoke lounge, and event space, situated on the lower level of the historic Provident Trust Company Building.

Rec & Royal features four private hospitality suites (with karaoke), an array of custom games, handcrafted cocktails, and a comfortable, one of a kind experience for our guests. With customizable event packages and amenities, we are able to accommodate intimate gatherings and large parties alike.

What events can Rec & Royal accommodate?

We can accommodate any celebration — birthday parties, Cocktail receptions, corporate events, Fundraisers, Alumni events, Family reunions, Holiday parties, Anniversary parties and more. Our event team will work with you to make your event memorable and unique.

What is the dress code at Rec & Royal?

We encourage you to come as you are, but at Rec & Royal, it’s always more fun to dress up than dress down.

We do ask that gentlemen refrain from wearing sweatpants, steel-toed or work boots, sleeveless t-shirts, or undershirts. For ladies, we ask that you refrain from wearing ugg boots, flip-flops, or sandals.

Does Rec & Royal have WiFi access?

Yes! Rec & Royal has a state of the art guest wifi network which you can access.

Do you offer nonprofit discounts?

Absolutely! We are proud supporters of our nonprofit community and we make every effort to facilitate exceptional nonprofit events in our spaces. We offer a discounted venue fee for nonprofit organizations.

What items are prohibited from Rec & Royal?

All bags, backpacks, purses or parcels are subject to search. You are not allowed to bring the following items into Rec & Royal:

Illegal Substances or Paraphernalia
Beverages (Including Alcohol)
Backpacks and Bags are Subject to Search
No Firearms, Knives, or Weapons of Any Kind – Management Reserves the Right to Define
Non-Professional or Professional Cameras with Detachable, Long or Extending Lenses
Fireworks, Explosives, or Projectiles of Any Kind
Vaporizers or E-Cigs
Pets (Except Service Animals)
Recording Devices of Any Kind, Audio or Video
Any Other Item Deemed Unacceptable by Building Manager/Venue/Security/Management

Are there prohibited acts at Rec & Royal?

Guests may be ejected for reasons including, but not limited to the following:

Public Intoxication
Use of Illegal Substances or Drugs
Disruptive Behavior
Use of Profane, Obscene, or Abusive Language or Gestures of Any Type
Possession of Illegal or Unauthorized Items Inside the Venue
Indecent Exposure
Throwing of Any Objects Anywhere in the Venue
Verbally Abusing, Threatening, or Intimidating Other Customers or Venue Employee
Participating in a Fight
Entering or Attempting to Enter Any “Restricted” Areas Such as VIP Areas, Stage Area, Back of House or Restrooms of the Opposite Sex
Going to the Bathroom in Areas other than the Restroom
Any Action that, in the opinion of Rec & Royal/Venue/Security/Management, Places Other Customers in Danger or Reduced Their Enjoyment of the Event.
Ejected Guests Will NOT Receive a Refund For Their Admission or Be Compensated in Any Way For Their Loss

Can I see the space in person?

We would be happy to show you around our facilities. Please fill out our Request for Information form with your interest and availability and we will schedule the best time for your site visit.

Can I bring my own beverages?

We cannot allow clients to bring in their own alcohol to serve, as we do not release our liquor licenses.

Do you allow decorating?

Yes. We ask that you do your decorating within your contracted event hours. We do not allow nails or tape on the walls.

Is the event space accessible for guests with disabilities?

Yes. Our elevator provides ample room for wheelchairs and most aspects of the venue are level and easily navigable.
